John, Well hear goes. Thomas and Amy Boat(w)right were the patriach (oldest and father of most of Texas Boatrights). Lydia and Friend Boatright are thought to be the parents of Elizabeth. Amy would have been around 68 if the was the mother of Elizabeth. I could go on and on. Where do you live? How are you kin, must be kin to the Charles. Depending on your answer I might want to call you and fill you in on what I know it is a lot but wouldn't take much time to tell you. I am always looking for more of the Boatright connection. The book you talk about I have heard about but never have seen. Friend is the son of Thomas. Thomas and family started out in NC. Moved to IL for about 10 years and then moved to AR, was there about four years before coming to Texas. They stayed here about 5 years and went back to AR where they stayed til about 1833, when Amy is back in TX with most of her children. Thomas had died after the 1830 census in Pope Co. AR. We don't know if he died on the way back to TX or maybe in AR somewhere. Go ahead and give me your phone number in case I want to call you.
Joy
