  She lived in Texas almost all of her life. In the 1920s she lived with her daughter Artemesia Lisle in Clyde, Ohio for about 6 months. She also lived with Artemesia in Clyde during period 1946-1947 when Artemesia got cancer. After the death of Thomas Davidson, she married a Mr. Samuel Rothgeb of El P aso, Texas in November 1903. The marriage ended in a separation, and Mr. Rothgeb died in El Paso several years later. Although Donda used the name Mrs. Rothgeb legally, she was always known as Mrs. Davidson.
