- Biography:
Beda KORP was born in Skillingmark, Värmland, in December 1863 to Olof and Karin (PERSDOTTER) KORP.
I have no information on her baptism. It is likely that, along with her brother Jordan, she followed the Methodist religion.
She emigrated to the United States, settling in the Worcester, Massachusetts, area sometime in the 1880s.
According to Susan Korp Snedeker in 2001, Beda Korp came to America on the S. S. Ivernia on 18 October 1905 at age 41. She arrived in Boston and was sworn in by F. W. Quinn. She had been a servant and had never married. She came to stay with her brother Patter/Petter (Peter) who lived in Worcester, Massachusetts, according to the passenger list.
She never married.
She lived in North Grafton, Massachusetts later in life.
She visited her niece Louise (KORP) RIDSDALE in New Rochelle, New York in the early 1950s.
I have no information on her death or where she is buried.
